During
her years in high school, she won awards from the Upton Foundation, the
Louella
Gibson Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Afternoon Music Club of Columbia,
SC, and
the South Carolina Federation of Music Clubs. In
addition, Ms. Nooe
was a finalist in The Guild of the Greenville
Symphony’s Piano Competition for Young Artists, and placed
second in the
Carolina Youth Symphony Concerto Competition. Ms. Nooe
spent her last two years of high school
studying at the South Carolina Governor’s School for
the Arts and
Humanities. Upon graduation in 2004 with an arts diploma, she
moved to
Dallas to study at Southern
Methodist University
with Dr. Carol Leone, TMTA Music Teacher of the Year in
2005. She
graduated magna cum laude from SMU, with a Bachelor of Music in Piano
Performance, in 2008. Ms. Nooe
started teaching piano while studying at
SMU. In January 2011 Ms. Nooe joined the staff at the Coppell Conservatory where she teaches piano with great enthusiasm and a strong desire to develop her students’ artistic talents and their love for music. Ms. Nooe is a member of CMTA, the Texas Music Teachers Association (TMTA), and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
