benefits As demonstrated by several organizations from different countries, including the United States, study of piano provides growth to children in many areas of development, other than musical. Since 1998, Coppell Conservatory and its staff have observed first hand many such benefits, and have noted their impact on the students' scholastic and social lives. Some of these benefits have been reported by our students' parents, and are listed below; you will be able to observe them in your own children:

Patience
- The process of learning effective practice skills aids the child in developing patience, which he/she will apply in all phases of schooling and life.

Confidence and Poise
- Frequent performance help the child develop the self-confidence and poise that he/she will readily use in dealing with many situations in life.

Perseverance and Commitment -
The demands of piano study teach children to develop a commitment to all types of projects and follow them through to completion.  They teach them that all worthwhile things are worthy of perseverance, and success awaits.

Friendship -
Music study provides unique and exceptional opportunities for interaction with peers to establish friendships which lead to long-lasting bonds.

Coordination - The coordination of both small and large muscles is strengthened through piano playing.  Coordination, and the corresponding accuracy, are translated to all of the students physical activities.

Self-Esteem and Satisfaction - As musical skills are developed, students a justified strong sense of satisfaction in their progress, and develop a feeling of self-esteem that transfers to all other situations in life.

Creativity and Self-Expression - Music study provides a forum for communicating feelings and using imagination for creative endeavors.

Pride in Achievement -
Students develop a sense of pride in their abilities through musical achievements and success.

Concentration - The study of piano fosters concentration that systematically carries over into the study of other subjects and all types of projects.
