MUSICIANSHIP CLASSES SCHEDULEPlease select your preferred day and time from the table below and inform the Office of your choices. Make your selection according to the student’s school grade. All classes are 45 minutes long.
Musicianship classes are a unique
feature of the
Coppell Conservatory. In Musicianship,
the students concentrate on music theory, ear-training, music history,
and aspects
of music appreciation that they normally would not be able to cover in
their
private lesson. This not only gives them
a comprehensive music education, but also allows them to make more
rapid
strides in their private lesson in Technique and Artistry.
In addition, the Musicianship class serves as
a venue for Performance practice and experience that give the students
confidence, teaches them how to perform before an audience, and exposes
them to
repertoire they may wish to play. Musicianship (for Piano) also includes five (5) Performance Classes from September to May. Attendance is mandatory for students who would like to be invited to the Honors Recitals held in May. Students who attend Musicianship classes will have Performance during their regularly scheduled Musicianship time. Basic Private students (students who do not take Musicianship) need to sign up for one of the scheduled Performance class times; you may request a time from your teacher or from the Office.
