Voice raised in grateful anthems,
Songs of every style and kind.
Motets and the grand cantatas
Warm the heart and stir the mind.
Singing forth in joyous phrases
To the world and all we see.
Music soothes our savage feelings,
Takes us where we want to be.

Keyboards ripple 'neath the fingers
Of prodigious genius' hands
Symphonies roll o'er the listeners
Bringing tunes from many lands.
Music is that world of wonder
Where the soul is fed by tone.
Music is the highest art-form
Which the earth has ever known.
