Ms.
Rachel Moore started
studying Piano and Voice at the age of 10. She later started
her
undergraduate studies at Harding
University where she was a top
scholarship winner.
Ms. Moore received a
bachelor’s
in music education from The University of North Texas
Music
Department, where
she studied
Voice with Dr. Linda Di Fiore, Ms. Inci Bashar, and Ms. Laurel
Miller, coached
with Dr. Stephen Dubberly and Dr. Elvia Puccinelli. While at
North Texas,
she performed in several operas: in Cendrillion as
Cendrillion, in Gianni
Schicchi as Ciesca, in Suor Angelica as
Zelatrice, and in Die
Zauberflote as a spirit, and the choral ensemble 'Acappella'
under
the direction of Dr. Jerry McCoy.
Ms. Moore has extensive private voice teaching
experience, including seven
years with the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. She is currently
studying at Texas
Woman's University
for a Master's degree in
vocal performance with Joan Wall.
Throughout her
years of teaching and performing, Ms. Moore
has enjoyed sharing her passion for music with her students.
She joined Coppell Conservatory in
2007 with the goal of bringing music into the daily
life of each of her students. With
her training and her
experience,
she aims
to make all of her student's
musical experience a positive one, with the right
mix of learning and fun, while developing and promoting the
students' self-confidence and self-esteem, to benefit them
in music performance as well as in life in their academic and
social lives.
Ms. Moore is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association
(TMEA) and has
performed for the American
Choral Directors Association (ACDA).
