Testimonials

TiminskyMr. Timinsky began studying guitar at the age of ten with private teachers. He continued his studies at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music High School with the noted Estonian guitarist Tiit Peterson.

After studying in his native Estonia, he completed his education at the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music and Dance with Professor Joseph Urshalm, where he received a BA in Music.  Later, Vadim attended several master classes given by Aniello Desiderio (Italy), Costas Cotsiolis (Greece), Thomas Muller-Pering (Germany), Zoran Dukic (Chorvatia), Vladimir Mikulka (Czechoslavakia).

In 2005, Mr. Timinsky completed his Master of Music in Classical Guitar Performance at SMU under Professor Robert Guthrie.

He started giving recitals while still a student.  He has also performed as a soloist and chamber musician at various guitar festivals in Estonia, Finland, Israel, Greece, and Germany.

Mr. Timinsky is a Professional Member of the Dallas Classical Society.  He frequently performs in the Dallas area, as a soloist as well as an ensemble member.

Mr. Timinsky is an excellent guitar teacher.  He has given numerous master classes in several countries.  His teaching method and approach to the development of classic guitar technique are the result of years of experience as a classical guitar teacher at different music institutions in Europe.

One of the important conclusions he reached from his years of teaching is that the most desirable time to start development of a correctly relaxed technique is in the early stages of study. Uncontrolled muscular tension constitutes the greatest impediment to the development of a practical guitar technique.  Click here to read answers to our Most Frequently Asked Questions about guitar (types, music, lessons, etc.).
